At Alive Studios, we’re always looking for ways to enhance your experience and make enjoying your precious memories as easy as possible. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our new Dual-Ended USB Stick – a simple yet significant upgrade that we believe will make a world of difference for you.
What Makes Our USB Stick So Special?
Gone are the days of standard USB sticks. Our Dual USB 3.0 Flash Drive is a game-changer. Featuring a 360-degree swivel design, it offers convenience like never before. With a traditional USB Type-A connector on one end and the latest USB Type-C on the other, it’s now compatible with a wider range of devices including your TV, computer, phone and tablet.
What is the difference between USB-A and USB-C?
USB-A – Traditional
This is the USB port that most people will be familiar with – its asymmetrical design means that connectors can only be plugged in one way. There will be one on your TV, and possibly your computer (unless it’s a newer laptop).
USB-C: The new standard
USB-C is the latest generation of USB, and the first USB type that is reversible – meaning it can be inserted either way up – much simpler!
Which Apple devices have a USB-C port?
You’ll find this port on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max and later (and most Android phones).
These iPad models have USB-C ports:
- iPad Pro (3rd Generation) introduced in 2018
- iPad Air (4th generation) introduced in 2020
- iPad Mini (6th generation) introduced in 2021
- iPad (10th generation) introduced in 2022
These Mac models have USB-C ports:
- iMac with four ports introduced in 2021 or later
- MacBook introduced in 2015 or later
- Mac Studio introduced in 2022 or later
Android and PC users
USB-C was introduced in Android phones in 2015. Today most Android phones and tablets have USB-C, but if you have an older Android phone it may use Type-A-mini or Type-A-micro. If so, you can buy a converter from Amazon for under £10. Just search “USB-C to USB A-mini/micro”.
All PCs have either a traditional USB (Type-A) or the newer USB-C port.
What if my phone or tablet uses lightning instead of USB-C?
If your iPhone/iPad has a Lightning charging port, don’t worry! You can easily solve this by getting a small adaptor. Just plug it into your device’s charging port, then insert the smaller end of our USB stick (the USB-C) into the adaptor. These adaptors are available on Amazon for less than £10. Simply search for “USB-C to Lightning adaptor” to find options.
Don't forget about presentation!
Our USB sticks come packaged in a beautiful white presentation box, complete with our signature Alive Studios logo. It’s not just a USB stick – it’s a statement piece, perfect for gifting or keeping your memories safe in style.
